There's always something happening at the Tunnel End Inn!

Some of our events combine with Marsden festivals such as Imbolc, the Marsden Jazz Festival or Cuckoo Day. We also put on special evenings for adults and local children such as the New Years Eve Fancy Dress, 'Pass the Mic' nights and our special Halloween kids night.

We host a monthly pub quiz night, regularly welcome local darts and dominoes league teams and have several local clubs and societies that use our meeting rooms.

QWAX OPEN MIC NIGHT
On April 18 we are holding another QWAX Open Mic Night at the Tunnel End Inn starting from 8:30pm. Come along and sing us a song. The House PA will be available to all - bring along your guitar or ask a friend to accompany you and you can be the next star of the night!

CURRY EVENING
8 May sees another of our themed food evenings. This time it's Curry Time...
Cost is £10 per person for a selection of curry dishes served throughout the night. Please call us to place your booking early as these nights book up very quickly.

SIX YEARS.. AND COUNTING!

Gary and Bev Earnshaw purchased the property in 2002 and have made the Tunnel End Inn what it is today. A fifth birthday celebration has just been held. However, they are currently trying to piece together the history of the Tunnel End Inn and all landlords involved. If you have any information or pictures of the building we'd love to talk to you. The Tunnel End is the ideal venue for your special events, whether regular club meetings or catering for groups. We are ideal for your Christmas dinner or other party!

The 2007 Imbolc Celtic Fire Festival was held in Marsden on 3 February around the Standedge visitor centre, along Manchester Road and to the Tunnel End. This special evening is held every year to celebrate the passing of winter and beginning of Spring. Click here for a photo gallery of Imbolc.

Marsden celebrates Cuckoo Day each April, a local tale of how villagers tried to keep Springtime forever by building a tower around the cuckoo before it left for the Summer. Read more about Marsden Cuckoo Day here.

Marsden Jazz Festival takes place each October in and around the village. The Tunnel End Inn becomes part of this village-wide celebration of jazz by hosting live performances. Last year it took place between 14 and 16 October.
